Will I be paid out when I turn 18?

Most people are paid their money when they turn 18.

We will contact you a few months before your eighteenth birthday, and send you an application kit.

To make sure we can contact you, you should tell us if you change your address. Use our Update my details form or call the office on 1300 039 390.

Is there any reason why I may not be paid out?

The Senior Master may not pay out the money if you have a disability that makes it hard for you to look after money.

If this happens, you will continue to be a beneficiary of the Court and the Senior Master will manage your money. This is to protect your money. Your Trust Officer will still be here to help you.

If this happens we will contact you or your family or carer to talk about why this is happening and think about your options.
